Since 2003, City of Hollywood employees have been guided by a Strategic Planning process in all areas of operation. The Plan was established and built by employees to provide clear direction and create a decision making process to improve services. Many of the outstanding services and innovative programs you see in the operation of our City are a direct result of employee involvement in Strategic Planning.

Now, more than ever, City employees are being asked to step up to the challenges posed by the economy and reduced resources. To meet these challenges, employees have re-examined the Strategic Plan and have analyzed the strengths of the organization, the weaknesses that require attention, the existing and potential opportunities for growth and success, and the threats. Through this examination, a clear Vision Statement has been established to define our long term view of Hollywood and key areas of focus have been streamlined to guide City-wide planning toward that Vision. These priorities define the purpose of City operations. Additionally, they provide a clear picture of the direction for employee energies and City resources and serve as guidelines for continual improvement of delivery and development of efficient services.
